These are really handy tools to have if you're trying to do some work around the house and you have a breaker that is not labeled, like a rental house that we currently own. It's not fun. So there are a lot of different products out there for this, or at least a few different ones. The top-of-the-line one is from a company called Ideal, based out of Illinois. It's a fantastic product. My problem was it cost about 90 bucks, and I really only had one project I wanted to use this for. So that was kind of out of the price range that I was looking for. This unit here, currently right now, is around 20 bucks, and Ideal has the benefit of it being a remote tester that also serves as a voltage tester. I already had a $5 Berry voltage tester, so I didn't need that function. Other than that, I think the units basically function the same. Now, I wanted to do this video because I think this unit is getting unfairly maligned in a lot of the reviews. People fail to read the instructions, which is important because this unit operates differently than the Ideal, which is where you'll see a lot of different videos on how these units work. So again, there are two components to it. There's this piece right here, which is the actual tester that goes in the wall. This lights up and emits sound.
